MISAC membership continues to grow as more and more municipal IT professionals learn the value of the organization. From August of 2015 to August of 2016, membership in the association grew by 17%, from 609 to 711.
Percentage-wise, the Northern Chapter had the largest growth rate of 22%, increasing membership from 184 to 225. The Southern Chapter added 47 members, the largest in number, taking their membership from 317 to 364. The Central Chapter experienced 13% growth, going from 108 to 122 members.
MISAC members represent 232 cities and 58 special districts and water agencies. Additionally, there are 22 fire, police, transportation and “other” agencies and organizations represented in MISAC.
In June of 2014, there were 451 members in the organization. The growth of the organization is a tribute to the Board of Directors and the members themselves, all of whom add value and promote the good work of MISAC.
