MISAC Dues Renewal Time Begins

June 1st signaled the start of MISAC dues renewal season for the 2019-20 membership year which begins September 1st . Following are some basic instructions for renewing depending upon your situation as a MISAC member.

 

Existing Member - Renewing Self Only

 

Current MISAC members wishing to renew can do so simply by logging into their online MISAC account, click on "Members" and click on "Manage Your Profile."  You can either click on "Membership" under the Invoicing, Payments & History heading or you can simply click on the "***Renew Your Membership Now*** link just above the "Information & Settings" heading.  This will take you to the basic renewal page.  See below for payment options and instructions.

 

Existing Member – Renewing for Self and Others in Your Agency 

 

If you are a current member and you are renewing for yourself and others in your agency but you are not an Agency Member, log into your online account and click on the “Your Cart” link at the top of the home page. When you get to the “Your Cart” page, in the dropdown menu, click on “Membership” and then click on the “Find” button. Scroll down to the appropriate category and click the “View” button. Assuming you are the Full Member for your agency and the others you will be renewing are all Associate Members, please type in your email address in the box where it says “Please enter your response below*” and then click “Add Item.” Next, go back to "Membership" in the online store and scroll down to the Associate Member  for to chapter to which you belong and again click “View.” In the box adjacent “Quantity,” type in the number of Associates you are renewing. In the box where it says “Please enter your response below,” type in the names and email addresses for the Associate members for whom you are renewing. Click the "Add Item" button and then go check out.  See below for payment options and instructions.

 

Existing Agency Member (Full) Renewing Agency Membership

 

Please begin by logging into your account, clicking on “Members” and scrolling down to “Manage Your Profile.” Once there, under “Information & Settings,” click on the “Agency Associates” link and update your list of Agency Associates. Once that list is updated, click on the “Your Cart” link at the top of the page, select the “Membership” option from the dropdown menu and click the “Find” button. Find the Agency Membership category for the chapter to which you belong and click “View.” Enter your name and email address in the box below “Please enter your response below:*”, click on “Add Item” and complete the payment process. Staff will then go in and update the expiration date for all of your Agency Associates from the updated list you took care of in the first step of the process.

 

Existing Member Renewing but Switching to an Agency Member

 

Switching to an Agency Membership makes financial sense if you have eight or more IT employees from your agency who want to become MISAC members. Assuming you are the Full Voting member for your agency, if you would like to switch to an Agency Membership, please begin by logging into your account and clicking the “Your Cart” link at the top of your home page. Select “Membership” in the drop down menu and then click the “Find” button. Find the correct chapter Agency Membership option and click the “View” button. 

In the box under “Please enter your response below:*”, please provide the name and email address for the Full Voting member first and then the names and email addresses for the Agency Associate members following that. Click on the “Add Item” button.

 

With all of these, once you get to the end of providing the required data, you will have two payment options: 1) You can pay immediately with a credit card, or, 2) You can select the “Bill Me" option.

 

Just a reminder that if you choose the “Bill Me” option (versus paying with a credit card) after you have made your renewal, an invoice will automatically be generated for you and will be attached to your account. A renewal invoice will not be emailed or snail mailed to you. Under “Invoicing, Payments & History,” you will see “Invoices.” Click on this link to download and print your newly created invoice to give to your accounting team. Finally, MISAC begins the renewal billing process in June to give agencies the option to use current fiscal year funds to renew for the following year. Renewing agencies have until August 31st to renew before being declared delinquent. After August 31st, MISAC provides a two week grace period before members are dropped for non-payment.
