MISAC Members to Benefit from Enterprise Agreements for Software

Software purchasing is changing, with vendors moving away from traditional, single-purchase software packages in favor of ongoing subscriptions. For local governments, the annual, organization-wide purchase of Office 360 or Adobe can be daunting: How can a budget-conscious city continue to do business as usual without breaking the bank?

In a proactive effort to combat these concerns, MISAC member Matt Jester, IT Manager for the City of Chino Hills, has brokered an agreement with Adobe that allows local governments to collectively make a volume purchase at a discounted rate.

Effective immediately, Adobe is partnering with MISAC/CCISDA to offer an enterprise term license agreement. Under this agreement, all cities, counties, special districts and other agencies in the State of California can purchase term licenses—at an aggressive discount—on an as-needed basis.

Licensing will be for a three-year term with the option to extend to a fourth and fifth year.
